WIN Energy REMC is undertaking an infrastructure improvement project to modernize and enhance the reliability of electric service within the Woodgate area. As part of this project, existing overhead electric distribution lines will be replaced with a new underground electric distribution system.

Underground electric facilities are less susceptible to outages caused by high winds, falling trees, and other weather-related events.

Underground electric facilities require significantly less routine maintenance than overhead power lines and typically require little to no tree trimming, helping minimize future vegetation management activities.

Modern underground facilities help strengthen the electric distribution system and improve its ability to withstand severe weather.

Removing overhead lines can enhance the overall appearance of the community.

This project represents WIN Energy REMC's ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable, and dependable electric service for years to come.

See a map of the project area with blue highlighting phase 1 and green highlighting phase 2. Future power line route is listed on the map in dark blue and burgundy.

Easement Agreement

WIN Energy REMC is requesting that property owners grant a utility easement allowing the cooperative to install, operate, inspect, repair, replace, and maintain underground electric facilities within a designated portion of their property. These facilities may include underground electric cables, transformers, pedestals, and other equipment necessary to provide safe and reliable electric service.
